Introduction

CV-Schedule ("Church Volunteer Scheduler") is a PC program for automatically scheduling the volunteers who help at Church. It is typically used to make service schedules for ushers, greeters, choir, organist, musicians, Eucharistic ministers, lectors or readers, altar servers, offertory family, nursery attendants, and any other ministries that are needed at church service or mass.

It only takes CV-Schedule a few seconds to compile schedules that would take many hours of work by hand. It can coordinate family ministries, dual ministries, and other scheduling options that would be virtually impossible to manage with manual scheduling.

This program gives you Schedules and Sign-In Sheets which are ready to view and print using your word processor and printer. There is no need to transfer information by hand to a paper form.

CV-Schedule will work for Protestant and Catholic churches or other organizations which schedule volunteers. The names of your church meetings (Service, Mass, Liturgy, etc.) and ministry names can be fully customized.

A Database Manager is integrated with CV-Schedule to create and manage the four databases used: Ministry Database, Service Database, Personnel Database, and Formats Database.

System Requirements

CV-Schedule Version 2.1 requires a PC with Windows 95 or later. It will not work on Apple or Macintosh computers.

To view and print the Schedules, Sign-in Sheets and Database Listings generated by CV-Schedule, you need a word processor that will import Rich Text Format (RTF) files and a printer connected to your computer or network. Most versions of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Works and WordPerfect can import RTF files.

To dial phone numbers (optional), your computer must be equipped with a modem connected to a landline or internet phone system.

To send e-mail (optional), you need an e-mail client program such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, America Online, etc. and internet access.

Downloading and Installing CV-Schedule Version 2.1

If you are upgrading from an earlier version of CV-Schedule: We recommend you backup your database files before installing the new version. You should install CV-Schedule in the same folder where the previous version is located. The installation program will preserve your database files, and you can continue to use them with the new version.

The CV-Schedule software and Help File are Copyright © 1997, 1999, 2008, 2010 by Cliff Leitch. They may be used on any number of computers without charge by religious organizations, educational institutions and non-profit charitable organizations. Other users may use the software for a 60-day trial period without charge. To continue using it after 60 days, they must make a contribution of US $10.00, or equivalent, to a charitable organization of their choice. Save your receipt as proof of license.
